Fair point, but there are more benefits to the design than drawbacks IMO, and even then, have you seen inside the hub to be able to comment on their longievity? I know I havn't.

A lot different, the comical and this are linkage driven single pivots whereas the swingarm is seperate by the nature of a DW link.

The commencal linkage faces a slightly different direction iirc, and anyways, there are only so many ways to attach a swingarm to a frame.

They are, but there has been a load of felling on the roll ins so they're unusable as of last time I was up there about 6-8 weeks ago. The trees may have gone now so could be worth a look.
